I know it is taking an unreasonable amount of time to fix.. and I also know this strongly affects any activity at all. This is why the BBS is offline. Previously there was talk about completely shutting down the BBS if there was no activity on the forums (to save money for my sake) but since the BBS had been half broken for so long, I know that it was difficult for many of the members to return to.
My goal for 2010 is to completely fix the BBS and regardless of activity on the forum or not, I want to figure out how to take SU.Net to another level. Most of you all probably noticed that over time, I lost my ambition for web development and eventually also lost confidence.. but I want to renew that passion that I used to have and improve the BBS overall this year.
The BBS has had an endless amount of problems that I could not deal with and we have to start from scratch again. The date that we will be online again is currently to be announced. It costs money to continue upgrades for the forum, blogs and galleries. Right now we are in a tight situation so I am waiting until I can afford the upgrade to continue, but it will be with in a month or two. Once the upgrade is made the BBS will be open again, but while open, things will be a mess as I will be reorganizing, remodeling, and thinking up ways to improve everything for the new decade. I am also looking into making the site mobile since that is the direction everything is heading.
